We have permission from the local council to transplant our spare plants into our local park to cover blank areas.

So far we've moved about 50 cranesbill geraniums to cover a rather bland earth bank, a few foxgloves at the top of the bank to strew their seed down it, moved a load of primroses to the top of the bank to grow and seed next year, and a lot else besides.

This plus collecting poppy seeds, foxglove seeds, sea mallow seeds and much else to throw on the top of the bank

Our garden is very small and the plants propagate so well here that we always have spares. Now we have a home for the spares.

Next year we may donate three apple trees that are failing with us because we have to keep them in tubs. Free roots ought to mean they succeed. That will be St Cat's day, or thereabouts.

A neighbour has propagated a load of hydrangea cuttings, and mulched his chosen site with seaweed, pending planting them out.

This is guerilla gardening, but with permission.

Tim Trenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00698536468287397610noreply@blogger.com
