What fabulous pumpkins, and what a lovely reddish colour they are. They will make exceptional lanterns I am sure (and quite possibly great soup too!) :)
Absolutely beautiful. And a fair size too. Last night a neighbour told me he was growing a variety called Jack Be Little (great name!) which are more snack size. 'Just cut them in half and bake them,' he said. Perhaps not so good for lanterns although you might just squeeze in a tea light.
