Tiling break

Tiles are heavy, tile cement is heavy, and laying tiles you have to keep getting up and back down. Time for a quick break and a walk round the garden.

  2. What are the ones at the top? And will they grow in East Anglia?

  3. Hi J, they are a species of Hellebore, which includes the Christmas Rose. Christmas roses flower as you would expect, around Christmas, and are usually a pale shade of green/cream.

The ones that come in different colours usually flower a bit later (like now), and you can get various shades of pink, red and white. This plant I bought mail order, it came in a pack of three, and this is the only one that survived.

They like shade, moisture and peaty soils, and you can grow them in East Anglia.
