Limoges - the aquarium

In the penultimate post on Limoges, we visit the aquarium.  Not the biggest in the world by any means, but clean, well-maintained and documented, and interesting.   Well worth a visit.

Spot the alligator.

*Sings*  "If you're down in the sea, and a fish bites your knee, that's.... a Moray.

Finally, these little critters caught my attention.  The Axolotl is a fish found in lakes above 2000 metres in central Mexico.  They reach maturity while still in the larval stage, and can regenerate limbs, eyes, etc in the event of damage.

  1. The Axolotle is a curious creature it reminds me of the 'Human Fish' that lives deep within the Postojna caves in Slovenia.
