How beautiful. Can you identify it?
Saturnia Pyri the European Emperor. It is a silk moth and related to the British Emperor Moth (saturnia pavonia). If you have a female and put it in a net cage it will attract males. And believe it or not I wrote all that without looking anything up - sad, but true.
