Project - phase 2
Dig up the floor. We discover that the screed isn't a uniform thickness, and some areas are therefore too thin for the heating system. Hmm, I wonder how we will deal with that....
By a beautiful river valley in North-West France. This blog is about the day-to-day events in running a group gîte in Mayenne. There's a lot of gardening, maintenance, but, I hope, a lot of fun too.

Oh, it looks like a lot of work. I hope things go smoothly...
I was afraid to ask if when you said "floor hearing" it was exactly what you meant.
That was a beautiful floor... I was hoping that "floor heating" was a French way of saying floor vents.
Too late now... and I hear that floor heat is very nice. Hot water boiler fired by your wonderful pellet furnace?
That looks and sounds like a bit of a pickle!
I'm watching with interest. The tiled floor in our kitchen have been extra chilly this winter. Good luck.
But the stairs are lovely.
